What is a Scout? What do Scouts do? Scouts meet on wednesdays between 7.30pm and 9.30pm. They all take part in a balanced program that helps them to find out about the world in which they live, encourages them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit and helps develop their creative talents. Being outdoors is important, nearly half the program is given over to taking part in both the traditional Scouting skills, such as camping, survival and cooking as well as the wide range of adventurous activities, anything from abseiling to kayaking. The Scout Promise is: 'On My Honour, I promise that I will do my best The Scout Law is: A Scout is to be trusted. The Scout Motto is: 'Be Prepared'. When can I be a Scout?
